Premier Inn Cardiff City Centre (Stadium) hotel

Standard premier inn, easy check in, room clean, bed comfortable. All the staff we came across were nice. The lobby & dining area looks worn out considering its a fairly new hotel and the cleanliness of the area wasn't brilliant either. Wouldn't bother with breakfast, usually enjoy a premier inn breakfast but here everything seemed undercooked, very watery scrambled egg, gooey undercooked fried eggs, mushrooms were awful. Not a massive selection of fruit, yoghurts etc like I remember. Honestly don't bother with breakfast go to spoons across the road! But overall the room was great, good value just avoid the food.

Well located hotel with those famous comfy beds. The room was an "upgrade" to premier but I have no idea what that meant. I've seen mention here of free bottled water? No idea. Pungent smell at the 16th floor lifts like someone has gone bananas with the carpet cleaner. Smell ok in the room. Small non opening window and the AC kept turning itself off. Annoying and stuffy. A nasty faded net curtain fixed in place hiding a decent view of Cardiff seems bonkers, who is going to see me on the 16th floor? At check in none of the booths were working and the nice lady at the counter spent quite a while just getting her PC working. All got done and got my key and after that was in my own. As a business traveller a step up from sofa surfing but on someone else's budget my first need arriving from a delayed train is "can anyone feed me?". All I can tell you for certain is happy hour is two cocktails for £8. I never saw or found any other information about food options and hours. So if you're a hen night looking for a pre drink you're sorted. Hungry solo travellers it's chippy lane for you. Overall my advice to the hotel is replace some of the bar promotion stuff (it was everywhere i looked) with useful info about the hotel. It gives the impression everyone in tonight is here on a bender.

Great value Premier Inn in a fantastic location right at the bottom of the main Street in Cardiff City centre. New and modern with the usual comfortable Premier Inn rooms and beds. The price can vary hugely depending on events and demand in the city, but time it right and it's an absolute bargain. We will definitely stay again.

Great hotel for exploring Cardiff. 5 mins from train station and only 20 mins walk to marina, or 10 mins to Castle or Stadium. Rooms are clean, with nice views over the cardiff area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent all round Hotel

Easy to get to if your coming via train and its walking distance of the city centre. Beds are comfy however the showers are bit of a miss, the shower door thats meant to keep the water in the bath doesn't work very well, feel like I nearly accidently flooded the room

Our hotel of choice when visiting Cardiff. Great location for the train station and busses to the bay. Rooms always impeccable and staff friendly and helpful. It is worth the extra few pounds for Premium Plus to get a great view of the city

Budget friendly hotel. Definitely worth the money considering the location. Went for the standard room. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly as well. Certain points: 1. They dont offer room service unless requested (which is understandable given its a budget hotel that's centrally located) 2. They kept just 1 towel in the room so had to go to reception looking for the another one. 3. They give you an iron and ironing board at the reception if you request for one. 4. They have 3 check in machines which work ok 5. They offer early check in but no late check out. This part kinda annoyed me. They should really consider offering late check outs. 6. You can leave your bags after checkout near the reception and collect is later free of charge.

The room was clean, comfortable and exactly what I'd expect from Premiere Inn (always good!). The location was perfect. However, the service was absolutely outstanding!! I'd like to mention one individual "Ashley". Initially, he was checking in an endless queue of people (due to faulty self check in desks) with smiles and professionalism. Later he was in the restaurant providing, what I can only describe as, the absolute definition of "hospitality". I've never had such good service even in far more expensive hotels. He knew all guests by name and despite a very busy restaurant gave everyone his full attention and no one had to wait for anything. I'm so impressed with the level of customer service from Ashley. Deserves to be promoted in my opinion
